[FEDORA 30 KDE] Zathura doesn't read zathurarc and bad behaviour
After the update to Fedora 30 [KDE] from Fedora 29 (also tested in fresh installs and virtual machines of Fedora 30, so the issue does not depend on the update procedure) it looks like Zathura is not reading the config file, ~/.config/zathura/zathurarc
. Nothing I write in it seems to take any effect.
After many tries, I have noticed that there actually is a way to make it read the config file:
sudo dnf install zathura zathura-pdf-mupdf
- DON'T OPEN ZATHURA
cd ~/.config
mkdir zathura
cd zathura
vim zathurarc
- write your settings
- open zathura on a random pdf
However, there are many issues even after having made it to read zathurarc:
- the screen is blurred for about half a second after having zoomed in or out
- when recolor is active, after having zoomed in or out, in the brief blurred period of time I was reporting in 1., the page is not recolored
- the font in the bar at the bottom with the file name and the page number does not change, whatever I set in the system settings (AND in zathurarc)
And, unfortunately, after uninstalling zathura, reinstalling it and not following the procedure on top, it stops reading zathurarc and keeps not reading it even after reinstalling it and following the procedure.
Version: zathura 0.4.3-2.fc30, released on Monday, 14 January 2019
