Since I don't control the parameters to zathura myself (It is spawned by vimtex), I can't just do `zathura $(realpath ...)`. \
I think it would be best to 'fix' this in the zathura repo.
I'm not farmiliar with the code though, so I'll just post a very simple patch I made here, and hope someone can comment on it.

I'll copy it verbatim: https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/468875/zathuras-best-fit-command-a-for-documents-with-varying-page-size
> I'm usually using the wonderful document viewer 'zathura' for reading PDF-files. Typically, for some documents, the first page of the document is slightly larger than the rest (for example, a photograph of a book cover). In this case the 'best-fit' function (key 'a') of zathura always adjusts the zoom relative to the first page of the document, implying that for the rest of the document the pages are displayed smaller than they should be. This is particularly annoying when reading documents in 'double-page mode', leading to results as terrible as the following:

zathura either continues to fall back to the default alias in `monospace` (Liberation Mono in my case) or in some cases discards the configuration entirely and suddenly flips to a white background. The font in question is an .otb bitmap but other fonts in the same format (Terminus, f.e.) work fine. I've sifted through bug reports / forums / man pages and haven't found anything that resembles my issue so I'm a bit confused. The same behaviour persists between configuration via zathurarc and from command prompt at runtime.

I created a pdf with libreoffice, with a section name containing an apostrophe and ampersand. The apostrophe is this time shown correctly, but the ampersand is replaced by `&`. The same with `<` and `>`.
Zathura should not replace these characters by their html escape sequences.

I am trying to exploit this latest vimtex functionality `VimtexInverseSearch` for Zathura to open current vim in terminal instead of gvim (which I rarely use). There have been some [partial hacks](https://gist.github.com/vext01/16df5bd48019d451e078) like this before. But with `VimtexInverseSearch` this can be neatly done. Based on `vimtex` help (`:h vimtex-synctex-inverse-search`), I first tried this:
```
set synctex-editor-command "vim --remote-silent -v --not-a-term -T dumb -c 'VimtexInverseSearch %{line} %{input}'"
```
This opens following buffers:
- `-v`
- `--not-a-term`
- `-T`
- `dumb`
- `-c`
- `VimtexInverseSearch 68 /run/media/path/to/file.tex`
it clearly do not parse after `vim --remote-silent` as vim options, **however this works:**
```
set synctex-editor-command "vim -c 'VimtexInverseSearch %{line} %{input}'"
```
Is there a way, so I could send whole `vim --remote-silent --not-aterm -T dubmb -c` as command? It seems zathura only take one command and one options.https://git.pwmt.org/pwmt/zathura/-/issues/274rseq syscall not allowed in strict sandbox2023-03-06T07:25:50+01:00Simon Drseq syscall not allowed in strict sandbox# How to reproduce
